And here is proof of the event...
Sherwin excitedly rushed me ashore - we had 1 and a half hours.
I reluctantly went. I wasn't excited as him. Every time we are in St Maarten I seem to get bit by fleas.
I had never taken the time to really explore the port compound. Usually I am on my bicycle just dodging millions of Americans on vacation. I saw this really nice Roti stand. She was selling homemade juice.
This juice was from an island berry and tasted like Christmas. It was a juice similar to cranberry and it was mulled with spices like cinnamon and clove. The second juice I tried was a bitter tonic made from island bark. It must have been good for me. I much preferred it to the sweet Christmas drink.
I watched her put together some giant Rotis. She had all sorts of meat or vegetables to choose from. Conch, Chicken, Veggie, Goat.. It's done up in a curry and served in a wrap.

In our small amount of time we managed to explore the port, and walk to town and back. Here are some shots from the town.

Impressing how much you got out of 90 minutes. Wonderful Photos both from the Roti and the Town.
